Fixed Dental Implants

Fixed Dental Implants

Eat & chew properly again with fixed dental implants in Just One Day

Do you have a loose denture that bothers you and restricts what you can eat? Is it difficult for you to eat and speak like you used to ?

Dentures can be fixed permanently in just 1 day using a cost effective and stable number of dental implants to locate your dentures onto. A full upper or lower jaw of beautiful teeth can be yours using only 4 implants in the lower jaw and 6 in the upper jaw.all on 4 dental implant model 3D

The concept is cost effective and ideal for those who have suffered from tooth loss and want fixed teeth as it uses only four dental implants to support a full arch of fixed teeth (if you don’t currently have dentures and want to know your best options such as dental implants, please view our dental implants pages or call reception on 0207 486 0000 for a consultation with experienced dental implant surgeon Dr fazeela Khan-Osborne).

Using 4 implants to fix dentures permanently is great if you:

  • Have loose dentures that affect your quality of life
  • Have severe periodontal gum disease and tooth loss
  • Have suffered loss of jawbone due to the loss of teeth
  • Have failing crowns and bridges along with loose teeth that need extracting
  • Have been told that you do not have enough bone for dental implants

The concept is commonly known by the following names:
Teeth in a day, Same day teeth, Same day smile, All on Four, all on 4

You may be suitable for fixed denture treatment if you:

  • Want a cost effective solution for a full mouth of teeth
  • Want to eat the foods you used to before such as apples or nuts
  • Want a predictable solution
  • Want to walk away the same day with permanent dentures that give you back your freedom

The Treatment

Traditional fixed full arch dental implant techniques require 6-10 implants with a period of healing time where the bridge cannot be fixed to the implants. Extensive bone grafting for implant placement may also be required.
With the fixed implant denture technique, the bone to implant contact is optimised and the need for any bone grafting is minimised.

The angled implants that we will place in your mouth can be anchored in much better quality bone found in the front of your jawbone. This reduces the number of dental implants required to restore an entire arch of teeth and enables us to give you permanently fix teeth on dental implants on the same day of implant placement. Tilting the implants also helps us avoid anatomical structures such as nerves and sinuses.

Fixed Implant Dentures Concept

You will be invited to have a consultation with our dental implant dentist,  Dr Fazeela Khan-Osborne.

We will discuss with you your suitability for fixed implant denture treatment and you can use this opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about treatment or any dental concerns.

Following this discussion, we shall take you to another room inside our clinic to undergo a CT scan, imaging and diagnostics so that we can prepare a digital 3D treatment plan of your procedure. Using advanced equipment enables us to ensure highly accurate, safe and predictable implant placement.

If you are a candidate for permanent teeth then a detailed treatment plan will be provided to you. After the initial preparatory work and smile design you will attend your surgery appointment where we can place the implants. At the same appointment we can often fix either your existing denture or a new denture to the new implants giving you function immediately.

Sometimes a  provisional bridge will then be secured to the dental implants, after which you will be given time to relax . Within a few hours you will be able to go home with a new smile and enjoy your new confident smile.

After approximately three to six months and after your implants are fully integrated into your jaw, your final fixed bridge of teeth will be fitted by Dr Fazeela Khan Osborne.

*Patients will be required to attend pre and post-operative consultations and reviews

This is carried out by our dental surgeons through well-recognised and innovative surgical and restorative protocols to enable our patients to have the smile of their dreams, thus returning them to health, form, function, well-being and ultimately self.

Our ethos and philosophy represents the essence of the comprehensive dental care that we want to provide for you. We provide this care for you in a compassionate, caring and sympathetic way, with a view to getting it right for you once and for all and then helping you to maintain your dental health for years to come.

We want to give you dental health not just remove your dental disease.

We look forward to welcoming you to The One To One Dental Clinic.

The benefits of your new fixed dental implants

There is no need to remove a denture after meals or at nighttime. The full arch of teeth can be cared for and cleaned just like natural teeth

The full arch of teeth fits the natural contours of your mouth and feels like of natural teeth. Your taste of all foods improves with this concept as the full arch of upper teeth does not cover the roof of your mouth, and because you can bite in a similar way to having natural teeth you can eat the foods you want, and have a much healthier lifestyle.
The treatment is considered long term and can last for decades as it promotes a healthy jawbone helping to slow down further bone loss. The entire procedure can be completed in just one day with an immediate loading concept that avoids multiple procedures

The fixed implant denture technique involves the use of only 4 dental implants to secure a full arch of teeth. The One To One Dental Clinic has been placing dental implants for almost 20 years and our experienced dental implant surgeon is the Lead tutor for the Implant Diploma course at The Royal College of Surgeons in London, teaching other dentists on best practices within implant dentistry and how to place dental implants.

Patient experience

Looking forward to visiting the dentist isn’t really the stereotypical feeling associated with the profession but admittedly ever since coming,
I’ve always enjoyed my experience.
